We now know that sun bathing is bad for our skin and anyone over the age of 25 should never go out even in British weather with out at least factor 15 on their skin. Instead there are some amazing faux tans around. My favourite is St. Tropez, it really gives the most natural looking tan even for the palest of skins. I recently had it applied with an airbrush, the effects are both sensational and very natural. It makes you feel confident even on your first day on the beach when you normally look pale and pasty. If you do not want to go to a salon, you can buy it from most good department stores or try Elizabeth Arden quick spray self-tanner for the body and Daily bronzer for the face. If you are looking for a more affordable alternative try the Body shop for their self tanning range. But the most important thing about faux tans is to exfoliate well before and put some moisturiser on any dry areas
Now I have a little secret for all the ladies going to Cyprus this year. There is a wonderful clinic there who will help you knock of 10 years of your age without being obvious. There are 3 main treatments that are easy to perform but make a dramatic difference to your looks.
The first is botox; there has been a lot of press about this. It really can help if you have frown lines. These are cause from pulling a repetitive expression; eventually this causes a line. Botox relaxes these muscles and stops you from being able to do pull that ugly frown and depending on your age and the depth of the frown lines, can give you a clear line free youthful forehead in a matter of days. I do not recommend you use this too much around your eyes for crow’s feet it really does not work as well in this area. The second of my little secrets is a wonderful product called New Fill. This is used anywhere there is a need to fill out. In the lines that run from your nose to your mouth for example or around your eyes. What this does is stimulate your own collagen to reproduce new cells. In order to have New Fill you need to make 2 appointments, the first on the first few days of your arrival in Cyprus and again just before you leave. I love this treatment because it is working from within promoting your own body to rejuvenate itself and has dramatic long lasting effects.
If you do not want to make 2 visits there is also a filler called Restalyne. This is similar to collagen injections but you do not need to be patch tested for it. It will not regenerate your cells like New fill but it will temporarily (4-7 months) puff them out giving a smooth line free appearance. You can also have a bit of restalyne put in your lips, not for a blow up trout pout, but it works wonders on bleeding lipstick and just gives you back the lips you had in your teens.I suggest you make your appointments from Britain in order to avoid disappointment.The wonder of having your treatment in Cyprus is that the price difference is dramatic and when you get back from your holiday people really will be telling you how good you are looking, but lets just keep it our secret.
